A Moment in Time

Viv was born in Hong Kong and spent most of her childhood and early adulthood between Asia, Australia and the U.K. In 2019, together with her young family, Viv relocated from Sydney to the Adelaide Hills in South Australia. And it was at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 that she decided to dive head first into ceramics on the potter’s wheel.

Inspired by the beauty of South Australia and her love of being in the garden and the kitchen, Viv creates tactile functional ceramics that can be used within the home. Her works are defined by simplicity, functionality and usability.

Nestled in breathtaking native bushland, Viv’s studio is where she spends most of her days making with clay.. It is also here that she hosts both wheel-throwing and hand-building workshops, sharing her tranquil space and inviting both beginners and experienced artisans to explore the endless possibilities of ceramics.
